We are fortunate to be able to have at our fingertips incredible technology. As Boomers, all of us can remember the Etch-A-Sketch. What made me think about it is we are training on a new note and document system that uses a Apple Pad with an Apple Pencil that will take all of our handwritten notes, convert them to a PDF and put them in the appropriate digital file. I can remember when I got an Etch-A-Sketch and the challenges it presented when I tried to draw circles instead of straight lines. I spent hours drawing things on it and then beating up my brother when he shook it and erased my work.
Taking notes this way is incredibly fast and believe it or not, it can actually read my handwriting and converted it to text on a PDF or Word Document!! It is much easier to use than an Etch-A-Sketch, by the way. And, with a touch of a button, my note is saved!
These are challenging times, we are adding quite a bit of new technology to our "tech stack" that will enable us to be more efficient, and even more proactive with our clients. And given the current employment market and the impending tax changes for small businesses, this is a strategic direction to go!
