Past, Present and Future

| January 27, 2020

Well, 2019 is in the books and what a year it was.  CochranMickels enjoyed a 28% growth in revenue and the numbers of families and businesses that put their trust is us grew equally as well.

As many of you may have heard or seen, we are moving our location to 4801 University Square in March or April.  We have enjoyed our downtown location but like our business, Huntsville is growing.  Because of the construction and the parking, we thought this was the time for us to make our move.  We considered many areas and chose the University Square location because it is still centrally located, there is plenty of parking right at the front door and we have additional office space to bring on other team members.

When Laura started this business over 7 years ago, she had no clients.  As is common for most advisors, they bring their book of business either from the bank or the wire house that they worked at prior to going independent.  Laura started with nothing but a vision.  As such, marketing is a very integral part of our business.  It is my responsibility and after doing it for almost 7 years, I feel like I have a master’s degree in it.  I have spent more on tuition for this degree than I ever imagined.  Many of you heard our radio ads last year.  We paused it for a month and I am pleased to announce that you will be able to hear us again every day on the Dale Jackson show.  We needed the month break to come up with a different strategy and we are excited to start it in February.

We will not be participating in some of the non-profit events as we have done in years past.  Laura is President of the WEDC this year and between that, our growing business, our sporting clay tournament schedule, we don't have time.  We will still be giving back and supporting the community, but it will be with different organizations and in different ways.

Lastly, we are vetting some new tools that will bring even greater value to our clients.  This is has been a lengthy process and we are seeing how to best roll them out.  We feel strongly that it will make it much easier for our clients.

I am excited for what lies ahead.

Mike
