Retirement Changes Everything

| June 15, 2018

How you’ve spent your time and your money.  How you’ve saved, gifted, and invested.  It increases the risks of things that are out of your control - like inflation, interest rates, health care, and the economy.  And it brings to light stuff you’ve not had to think much about, like outliving your money or how many more cars you plan to purchase in your lifetime, and what you’ll really do with your time when you’re no longer working.

Friends, family, and the internet can be helpful as you prepare for retirement. But you need more than that.  You need someone you can sit down with, face to face, to help you organize your plans and your assets now, and who will continue to help you negotiate the many changes you will face in retirement.

A retirement specialist is educated and experienced in the specialized field of retirement planning and investing.  In addition to discussing how to manage your income and nest egg, he or she will help you to make effective decisions about how much you can safely spend, when it is best to take social security, how to deal with debt and required minimum distributions, determine if a 401K rollover makes sense for you, discuss estate and legacy planning, uncover tax savings, among many other important topics.

Retirement planning is much more than determining a safe withdrawal amount from your nest egg or deciding if a fixed income product will meet your lifetime needs.  It is an objective process of evaluating your personal retirement needs and desires, determining your available assets and income sources, and making specific recommendations to help you to make decisions for your best retirement possible.

I encourage you to discuss your retirement plans with a specialist today.  I’m confident you will be glad you did!
