SouthEast Regionals

| May 05, 2021

Laura and I returned on Monday from the SouthEast Regional sporting clay tournament at The Meadows Gun Club in Forsyth Georgia.  There were over 800 shooters competing.  It was run like a well oiled machine with little or no waiting at any of the stations on any of the 3 courses.  Laura and I shot the the main event, which was 3 days of shooting.  It was humbling to shoot along side some of the best shooters in the U.S. and to be able to participate in an event that challenged even their skills.  We met new friends and connected with old friends.  We came away knowing what we need to work on when we shoot in the Nationals in 2022!

Laura being the planner that she is also included a complete immersion and tour of the Allman Brothers Band who spent much of their time in Macon.  We went to their museum and bought t-shirts, toured the graveyard where they composed some of their music and was the backdrop of some of their album covers.  We even drove by Greg and Cher's old home at Beaver Point.  It was a fantastic trip, one that will never be forgotten!!
