We all have a good understanding of GPS, or Global Positioning System.  We have it in our smart phones and as navigation aids in our vehicles.  We have seen it give us the upper hand in defending our soldiers with cruise missiles and smart bombs in all the recent conflicts.  It is used extensively in supply chain management and as a deterrent for theft prevention.  We all use it in some form or another.

Today I want to share another form of GPS with you and how it is going to help navigate you in retirement.

Growth-it is important that in the months and years leading up to your retirement and during your retirement that your savings have growth.  Even during the years that you are spending your savings, you must have enough growth to keep up with inflation and help with unexpected costs.

Protection-it goes without saying that you need to protect your savings, especially in the years immediately before retirement.  Returns during the first two years of retirement have proven to be most critical to lasting success during the withdrawal years.

Spending-this is the scary time when you decide how much you can safely withdraw and when.  Spending the wrong way can result in lost opportunities or even failure of a retirement plan.  This is often due to paying more taxes than are necessary.  Sometimes, it isn’t how much you spend but also what assets you use and in what order!

Call us today and let us help you get your retirement GPS coordinates so you can navigate what you have worked your whole life for.  To make it easy, I have included our GPS coordinates at the top of this post, or you can call us at 256-417-4870
